I started my career in the travel industry in 1990 working for reputable travel companies in Mumbai and Dubai where I sold domestic and international travel for close to 20 years. Thereafter, I made my home in Australia. Proud to be employed by Adelaide's best travel company, I have been a part of the Phil Hoffmann Travel Modbury team since September 2013.

I love travel and making my clients holiday a reality by sharing my experiences where possible.

travel tips

• While cruising, if you feel you’re going to get seasick, try drinking ginger ale, eating a green apple or sucking on a few ginger-flavoured sweets. Mind-over-matter stuff, but it might take your mind off feeling seasick.

• Doha, Qatar - if you have a layover or stopover in Doha, savour authentic Middle Eastern cuisine at Damasca restaurant at Souq Waqif. After a sumptuous meal, the Souq is a great place for shopping. 
• Canada - try a Beaver Tail pastry while in Canada. Tasty and very Canadian.
• India - Hill Station destinations in Northern India such as Shimla, Kulu and Manali are really beautiful and offer cool respite from the city heat. India is a magnificent, charming and colourful holiday destination with plenty to explore, bagsof culture, heritage and spectacular architecture.
• Singapore is a beautiful and clean city that has lots to see and do.
• South Africa - Cape Town and Kruger National Park in South Africa are wonderful places to visit with amazing scenery and the most incredible wildlife.
• United Arab Emirates has an interesting blend of Middle Eastern cultures with smatterings of Western influence, especially in cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.  
• I can highly recommend cruising with Royal Caribbean. I especially loved cruising on their magnificent ship, Rhapsody of the Seas.
• If you’re looking at a River Cruise or wish to explore Canada & Alaska, I believe you can’t go past APT in terms of inclusions. The included sightseeing and the standard of accommodation used on land and on water is second to none.
• Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Celebrity Cruises are all great cruise lines with beautiful ships. They offer some great cruise/fly packages that represent excellent value for money.
