Italian Language Classes

Whether you are planning a visit to Italy, wish to brush up your school-time Italian or advance your language skills, our Italian courses offer a range of levels to suit.

Join Renato Di Stefano in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere with some delicious antipasti and a little wine at Phil Hoffmann Travel Glenelg.

Italian (Advanced) - 32 weeks.

If you already have a working knowledge of the Italian language, our advanced class is perfect for practising and developing those skills further. Classes are fun and interactive and focus primarily on the spoken language with some reading, comprehension and writing exercises and incidental revision of grammar.

Italian (For Travel) - 8 weeks only.

A fun Italian language short course to enrich your travel experience or to simply enjoy discovering. Learn how to introduce yourself and others, order food and drink, make restaurant reservations, purchase goods, ask for directions, book hotel accommodation, and make simple travel arrangements.

Italian Cooking Classes

Phil Hoffmann Travel’s Lifestyle series includes regularly scheduled Italian Cooking and Dining Experiences, special events such as corporate functions and private parties, Mother’s Day and Christmas lunches, Italian getaways, and language classes.

All the classes are held in purpose-built kitchens at Phil Hoffmann Travel Glenelg and Modbury. They are hosted by passionate foodie and former TAFE lecturer Renato Di Stefano in a fun, relaxed environment.

Tasting Italy

One day Italian lunches comprise of a 4-course meal with wine, cooking demonstrations, hands-on traditional pasta making, recipes to try at home and a little Italian language.

Saturdays: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm or alternate days upon request (minimum numbers 10)

22 July - Flavours of Tuscany
26 August - Italian winter warmers
25 November - Savouring Northern Italy
16 December - Italian Christmas table

*Due to the nature of Italian cuisine, our ability to cater for food allergies/intolerances is limited
