After working in the health industry for 30 years, I decided it was time for a sea change. I had always enjoyed travelling so a move in to that industry seemed like a natural progression.

I joined Phil Hoffmann Travel in 2007 and have enjoying working with the team at the Stirling branch ever since.

• Try to time a trip to Hoi An with their Full Moon Festival. The Old Town is lit up only with lanterns and the river is covered with floating candles – it’s an absolutely beautiful sight and a great atmosphere!

• Hoi An, Vietnam - there’s a great cooking school in Hoi An called the Red Bridge Cooking School. I can highly recommend doing a class there to learn how to cook some of the most delicious Vietnamese dishes.
