Itinerary

1 September 2025 | Whittier, Alaska

Start your 7 night cruise onboard Norwegian Jade

Although situated only approximately 60 miles from Anchorage, Whittier feels a world away. This small, secluded town - only accessible by land via the two-mile long Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel - is nestled between soaring mountain peaks and the Passage Canal. Having been originally founded as a military facility during World War II, today, Whittier is your gateway to the famous Prince William Sound. The spectacular rugged coastlines and waterways are home to abundant wildlife, including bears, mountain goats, Dall sheep, whales, sea lions, otters and much more. Unleash your inner explorer on one of the many outdoor activities or enjoy a scenic boat tour along a portion of the sound.

2 September 2025 | Hubbard Glacier, Alaska

The Hubbard Glacier is the largest tidewater glacier in North America. Its awe-inspiring, turquoise-coloured face towers nearly 400 feet tall - 250 feet of which are underwater - while its icebergs are often three or four stories high. At nearly six miles wide where the ice meets the ocean and 76 miles long, viewing this massive glacial mass is an experience not soon forgotten. As you cruise near the glacier, keep an eye out for the region's rich variety of wildlife, from bald eagles to harbour seals, orcas and humpback whales.

3 September 2025  Icy Strait Point, Alaska

Venture “where the north wind doesn’t blow.” Known for this famous saying, Icy Strait Point is the ideal landing spot for adventurers seeking a new experience. Breathtaking and exciting, Icy Strait Point truly takes you where the wild things are. It’s one of the few places in the world where wildlife outnumbers the human population. A trip here certainly satisfies your taste for adventure. Take a cruise from Icy Strait Point and enjoy Alaska's awe-inspiring scenery and the many excursion options that Norwegian Cruise Line has to offer.

4 September 2025 | Juneau, Alaska

Juneau has been called “Alaska's peak experience,” certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau Icefields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak up one of the area's many protected waterways, go flightseeing, tour historic downtown or try your hand at panning for gold. The majestic Mendenhall Glacier lies nearly 12 miles outside Juneau, a treck worthwhile.

5 September 2025 | Skagway, Alaska

In a single year from 1896 to 1897, this remote town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travellers come in search of other riches - to experience yesteryear along Skagway's charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days.

6 September 2025 | Ketchikan (Ward Cove), Alaska

Thanks to its abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some of the world's most lush wilderness. Its Tlingit Indian name, Kach Khanna, means "spread wings of the eagle." Chances are you'll see one of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree during your Alaska cruise to Ketchikan (Ward Cove).

7 September 2025 | Cruise Inside Passage

Get ready for amazing views and wildlife like nowhere else as you sail through the islands of Alaska's Inside Passage.

8 September 2025 | Vancouver, British Columbia

Disembark Norwegian Jade and start your guided tour of the Canadian Rockies

Welcome to outdoorsy, nature-loving Vancouver! Also known as one of the world’s most culturally rich cities, Vancouver is the kind of place where you can ski in the morning, swim in the ocean by early afternoon and indulge in the city’s diverse culinary scene in the evening. After settling in to your hotel, you’ll meet your Travel Director this afternoon.

9 September 2025 | Vancouver – Whistler

This morning’s sightseeing tour of Vancouver puts you right in the heart of city's oldest neighbourhood, Gastown, which was designated a National Historic Site in 2009. You'll also visit buzzy Chinatown and admire the famous collection of totem poles at Stanley Park before travelling along the awe-inspiring Sea-to-Sky Highway. This scenic drive showcases jagged mountain peaks and cascading waterfalls to your right and the dreamy ocean vistas of Howe Sound to your left. Stop at Shannon Falls Provincial Park, which boasts the third highest waterfall in British Columbia. Still in awe of the scenery on today's drive, finish in the alpine village of Whistler, nestled in the shadows of the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

10 September | Whistler Free Time

Enjoy your day in Whistler as you explore this stunning adventure playground. Go hiking or biking on one of the many trails or the labyrinth of lanes that make up Whistler Village. Or make the day your own with action-packed Optional Experiences, each one more exhilarating than the next! You could go bear viewing with a local wildlife photographer, whitewater rafting, zip lining at 100 km per hour amidst the stunning mountain wilderness, and many more options. When we said exhilarating, we weren't joking!

11 September 2025 | Whistler – Victoria

Fuel up for another big day with a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience and breakfast at Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre where you’ll get to know more about First Nations culture through food and music. You’ll be treated to authentic tastes including blueberry, cheese and onion Bannock (a kind of quick skillet bread) and a performance by locals dressed in traditional regalia singing, dancing and sharing stories from Squamish and Lil’wat Nations. Take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Vancouver Island leaving Whistler behind as you visit Chemainus, a seaside community and former industrial town known for its series of giant outdoor murals. Your next stop is the capital of British Columbia, Victoria, where you’ll no doubt be struck by its distinctly English influence. An orientation tour of the city will take you along the waterfront district and into the bustling downtown area, passing the Parliament Buildings, Government Street and through Beacon Hill Park so you can really get your bearings.

13 September 2025 | Victoria – Kamloops

Wave goodbye to Vancouver Island as you take the ferry back to the mainland and embark on a scenic drive to Kamloops, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

14 September 2025 | Kamloops – Jasper

Fall in love with the gorgeous prairie provinces of Canada as you drive through the white fenced ranch lands that surround the Yellowhead Highway. Keeping an eye on the snow-capped peaks of the Columbia Mountains in the distance, catch a first glimpse of Mount Robson, the most prominent mountain in the North American Rockies and the highest point in the Canadian range. Continue to unpretentious, heart-warming Jasper, which sits in the heart of Jasper National Park, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

15 September 2025 | Jasper National Park

Stepping outside and smelling the fresh mountain air, let the prospect of a day exploration bring a smile to your face. Your activity options are abundant in the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. Perhaps choose to explore the beautiful Maligne Lake? A boat cruise (seasonal) around the largest glacially fed lake in the Canadian Rockies is right for you. Next up in Jasper, foodies will want to join a Local Expert on a Jasper Food Tour downtown or take an E-bike Food Tour. If you’re looking to get active, choose to experience the majestic scenery of Jasper National Park on foot during a guided nature hike or take to the water on a Jasper Raft Tour.

17 September 2025 | Banff Sightseeing and Free Time

Make sure your camera’s in-hand today for optional helicopter flights (weather dependent) that will have you soaring over iconic sites including the Three Sisters Peak, the Sundance Ranges and the Gloria and Assiniboine Glaciers (weather dependent). Next up in Banff - famed for its world-class national parks, lakes and vistas - get a taste on a sightseeing tour along Tunnel Mountain Drive. Take in sights such as Cascade Mountain, Mt. Rundle, Bow Falls, and the surreal, hoodoos rock formations, which have gained their twisted shapes over years of erosion from water and wind. Venture into the stunning wilderness of Banff National Park to take advantage of a range of Choice Experiences to capture the best of the region - learn about local flora on a Plant Medicine Walk with a First Nations Local Guide, consider an E-bike food tour or rafting in Canmore. As an evening option, book a Banff Gondola ride including dinner with a view.

18 September 2025 | Canmore - Vernon

It will be another incredible drive today as you climb higher and higher to cross the Continental Divide at Kicking Horse Pass, stopping at the Spiral Tunnels on the way to marvel at one of the steepest railroad stretches in the world. You’ll then travel through not one, not two, but three beautiful national parks, slowly descending from the mountains as the landscape changes from snowcapped peaks to sprawling wineries and fruit orchards, indicating that you’ve arrived in Canada’s ‘fruit basket’, the Okanagan Valley. Surrounded by so many grapes the temptation for a tasting will be hard to resist, so you’ll stop off at Larch Hills Winery for a tour and tasting before heading on to Vernon.

19 September 2025 | Vernon – Depart Vancouver

On your final drive of the trip you'll pass through the Cascade Mountains, named for the staggering number of waterfalls tumbling off the peaks, before venturing into the Fraser River Valley and finally coming to a stop back in Vancouver, the place where it all began. Drop off at 3:30 PM at Vancouver International Airport. Please be aware when booking flights.
