Itinerary
Day 1: 20 March 2025
Arrive Norfolk Island
Meet your tour escort, Deb Machnik, at Adelaide Airport and board the flight to Norfolk Island. On arrival you will be transferred to the South Pacific Resort Hotel to unpack and settle in before enjoying a welcome drink and talk about what to expect during your trip. Enjoy dinner at The Homestead Restaurant which is set in a 1930’s island home with a menu filled with seasonal produce, meat and seafood sourced on the island. (D)

Day 2: 21 March 2025
Norfolk Island
After breakfast, take a half-day tour of Norfolk Island to visit historic Kingston and see the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches, and golf course. Later tour the Melanesian Chapel. This evening step back in time and experience the thrill of a convict’s life by getting dressed up and enjoy an evening of feasting, singing, and dancing. (B,D)
Day 3: 22 March 2025
Norfolk Island
This morning enjoy a delicious BBQ breakfast with a scenic view after a walk exploring the lush Palm Glen Reserve. For the more active, take a leisurely 3.5 km walk through scenic Mt. Bates - the highest point on the island to Captain Cook Monument. Embark on the Green Fingers tour as you stroll through gardens that boast magnificent views, including the island's only maze, and a private garden while discovering the unique flora and fauna that are native to Norfolk. Get ready for a night of spinetingling stories and eerie encounters as the evening begins with a delicious dinner in a beautiful Georgian building, with a chance to mingle with other guests before for the ghostly adventure ahead. It's time to grab a lantern and wander through the ruins. Your guide will regale the group with tales of ghostly apparitions, tragic events, and mysterious happenings while you hear about the island's dark history. BYO Drinks. (B, AT, D)
Day 4: 23 March 2025
Norfolk Island
Enjoy breakfast at leisure this morning and then a well-prepared lunch at the hotel before embarking on the next tour. Be guided through the living showcase of Polynesian, convict, and Pitcairn Islander history and discover the stories behind the colonial headstones in the cemetery and the beautiful historic houses on Quality Row. Explore the New Gaol ruins, the Pier Store, Boat Shed, and Crank Mill, all of which offer a glimpse into the intriguing past of Norfolk Island. This evening enjoy a roast carvery dinner at the hotel with fellow travellers. (B, L, D)
Day 5: 24 March 2025
Norfolk Island
After breakfast learn about the colourful history of Norfolk Island’s most recent settlement - the Pitcairners and their descendants. View the magnificent homestead and gardens, ride in Norfolk’s first tour coach, view a film, visit a blacksmith’s forge, a WWII Army hut, and Museum of Memorabilia. After enjoying a light lunch back at the hotel, the afternoon is at your leisure. This evening, enjoy a 3-course progressive dinner and learn about the island’s rich culture and history from the locals. Each host and home has been carefully selected to showcase the island's rich culture, history with an insight into dayto-day life. (B, L, D)
Day 6: 25 March 2025
Norfolk Island
After breakfast, embark on a tour of the home of famous author Colleen McCullough. Colleen was a world-renowned author and called Norfolk Island home for almost 36 years. She and husband, Ric Robinson, created a luxurious hideaway and maintained their privacy to ensure that Colleen had the perfect environment for her writing. Lunch at the scenic Hilli Restaurant is followed by a visit to an amazing 360° panoramic painting, The Cyclorama. This painting brings to life the history of the Norfolk Island people and their connection with the infamous mutiny on the Bounty. Later enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread, and fresh fried fish at the famous Island Fish Fry, followed by desserts and tea or coffee (BYO drinks). An evening tour of Kingston allows you to experience a different mood in the Convict Settlement. (B, L, D)
Day 7: 26 March 2025
Norfolk Island
Embark on a Glass Bottom Boat Tour after breakfast. The local boat drivers will share their knowledge of Norfolk’s unique marine life. View beautiful coral gardens and tropical fish inside the calm crystal waters of Norfolk’s lagoon. Travel to Anson Bay to visit a small hobby farm which has been instrumental in improving the local livestock industry. You will also see a demonstration at Norfolk’s major pottery barn and browse the Cottage Pottery Shop. After a delicious morning tea at a scenic location visit the local chocolate shop to learn about chocolate-making.Experience an unforgettable evening of murder, mystery, and mayhem while enjoying a delicious 3-course meal and interacting with the Commandant, Clergyman, and Convicts of the era, including true characters from the island's second settlement. Day 8: 27 March 2025
Depart Norfolk Island
This morning, enjoy breakfast at the South Pacific Resort before being transferred to the airport for the flight home (B)

We endeavor to provide an accurate itinerary however, local operators, hotels and airlines sometimes change arrangements and our itinerary would then be adjusted to suit however, the same standard will always be used.

Travel insurance; tips during non-group arrangements; items of a personal nature eg drinks, laundry, phone calls, meals other than those indicated, additional sightseeing or optional tours; extensions/stopovers/amendments; additional flight cost from other cities if applicable, arrival and departure transfers at destination/s when not arriving/departing on group flights/dates.
Reservations
A deposit of $400 per person is required within 7 days of confirmation of your booking. The final balance due no later than 22 November 2024. If a booking is made after this date, the full tour price is due at the time of confirmation. Prices are subject to change at anytime until full payment has been received for entire group and tickets have been issued.

You are required to complete some forms when booking which provide essential information we require to process your booking. Your consultant will provide you with all relevant forms.
Passport & Visas
It is necessary for all passengers to be in possession of a valid passport which has at least 6 months validity beyond your return into Australia.
Minimum Numbers
Group fares quoted for this tour are subject to a minimum 19 paying and maximum 22 passengers travelling together. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserve the right to increase the tour price or cancel the tour should the numbers travelling not meet the required minimum.

Escort travels when minimum numbers of 19 are reached.
Price Alterations
Tour prices specified are based on airfares, taxes and land arrangement tariffs applicable at the time of printing, therefore they may be subject to alteration with or without prior notice until final payment date, as per brochure final payment date (22 November 2024)
Extensions/stopovers
An amendment fee may apply for any changes to group flight arrangements. You may also need to pay any applicable additional taxes.
Amendments/changes
There may be fees charged per amendment by third party suppliers for any reservation changes after your booking is confirmed.
Twin share Room Match Policy
In the event of a cancellation for a twin share room match, the travelling passenger may be required to pay for a single room supplement cost, which will not be covered under their travel insurance policy. Similarly, if a traveler decides whilst travelling that they do not want to share any longer, they will be required to pay the full costs for a single room.
Refunds/Credits
No refund is available in respect of any sightseeing tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised or required during this tour. No refund is available for cancellations after the tour has commenced.
Cancellations
Cancellations of firm bookings will be subject to $400 per person service fee plus any charges imposed by principals involved in operating the tour. Therefore, the cancellation fee may be up to the total cost for land and/or airfares. Cancelled bookings are non-transferable.
Baggage
Please refer to individual airline tickets for the baggage allowance for your flights. Airlines may charge you for baggage in excess of these allowances, which will be at passenger’s expense. Whilst on tour one main bag and 1 piece of hand luggage per person is allowed.
Medical Advice
It is wise to seek medical advice before travelling from travel specialist doctor, or from your own GP. Travellers must meet Phil Hoffmann Travel ’Statement of Fitness’ standards to participate.
Insurance
Insurance is compulsory for cover against loss of deposit and loss of airfares, personal accident, medical cover etc. If you have an ongoing medical condition you may be required to complete a pre-existing medical form. If you are over 70 years of age, you are required to complete a seniors medical form. Your consultant will provide all details.
Children
Participants must be over the age of 15.
Responsibility
Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary or change of reservation, features and/or means of conveyance without any notice and for any reason whatsoever. Phil Hoffmann Travel does not accept liability for failure on the part of transportation companies, hotel contractors and other principals whose responsibility is confined to their own operations. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to alter hotels used should the necessity arise. The transportation companies or firms shall be exempt from all liabilities in respect of any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness or injury and by whom so ever caused and whatever kind occurring of or to the passenger at any time when the passenger is not on board a conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies or firms.
We reserve the right to take any reasonable action should your health, actions or behaviour impinge on the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other passengers. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserve the right to cancel or withdraw any person as a member of the tour at any time.
All ticket coupons and orders are furnished and issued subject in all respects to those terms and conditions under which the means of transportation or other services provided thereby are offered or supplied by the owners, operators, public carriers, management agents or agents.
