Fitness Level
A reasonable level of fitness is required for this tour. Tours will involve getting on and off coaches, ferries, walking around the sights, sometimes on uneven ground, and climbing some steps. On several days there will be sightseeing conducted as a walking tours for extended periods of time.

Arrive to Heathrow Airport in London and transfer to the hotel. This evening, join the Travel Director and fellow travellers for a welcome drink and trip briefing at the hotel, before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. (WD)

Day 3: 11 May 2025
London
Explore the iconic sights and streets of London. See famous landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, and Trafalgar Square. Admire the Royal residence of Buckingham Palace and savour a taste of British pageantry as you watch the Changing of the Guard (subject to occurrence whilst there). The evening is at leisure. Perhaps ride the London Eye, or take a cruise down the river Thames. (B)

Stonehenge and Plymouth
Journey west to the ancient mystical megaliths at Stonehenge. The reasons behind the creation of the site remain largely unsolved to this day. Walk around the strange and awe-inspiring monoliths that have reputedly stood for 5,000 years. Continue through Devon to arrive in the historic naval port of Plymouth, home for the next two nights. The Cornish Peninsula
Embark on an orientation tour to see the Royal Citadel and Mayflower Steps. Explore the Cornish peninsula and visit the seaside villages of Looe and Polperro. Dinner tonight will be at a local restaurant in Plymouth. (B,D)

Bath and Cardiff
Arriving in Bath, admire the city's stylish Georgian façades and visit the ancient Roman Baths from which it derives its name. Continue to the vibrant Welsh capital, Cardiff, with a free evening to enjoy this modern city's proud heritage. (B)

Cross the Irish Sea to Waterford
See Cardiff's iconic sights this morning – the Principality Stadium, Millennium Centre and Victorian fantasy castle before crossing the Irish Sea to Waterford, most famous for the delicate crystal that graces homes the world over. This evening dine in the hotel. (B,D)

Blarney and Killarney
The first stop today is at the House of Waterford Crystal to watch a demonstration with master craftsmen. In pursuit of the ‘gift of the gab', journey to Blarney Castle where you'll have the chance to kiss the Blarney Stone, before arriving later in picturesque Killarney. The Ring of Kerry
Ireland's enduring natural beauty is on full display during a leisurely drive circling the enchanting Ring of Kerry. Pass the fishing village of Waterville, Moll's Gap and the Black Valley – renowned for being the last place in Ireland without power and telephone networks. Later experience a Jaunting Cart Ride – a traditional pony and trap ride through the beautiful Bourn-Vincent National Park. During the journey, a Local Specialist will share fascinating anecdotes about the area and Ireland in general. (B)

Limerick, The Cliffs of Moher, Galway
Stop in Limerick and view St. Mary's Cathedral, the Treaty Stone and King John's Castle. Next up is an unforgettable experience at the Cliffs of Moher where rugged cliffs plunge into the Atlantic, creating a beautifully dramatic coastline which has inspired artists, musicians and poets for centuries. Enjoy the Visitor Centre, a wonderfully engaging experience which brings one of Ireland’s most treasured natural phenomena to life in an interactive way that will leave you with stories to tell for years to come. Enjoy the IMAX-type multimedia which gives visitors a bird’s eye view of the cliffs, or dive virtually beneath the surface of the Atlantic and into the underwater caves at the foot of the cliffs that would have otherwise gone unseen. The next overnight stop in Galway is a real treat for culture buffs. Londonderry, The Giant’s Causeway, Belfast
Cross the Irish border into Northern Ireland and join a Local Specialist in Londonderry to stroll along its 17th century city walls. See the street murals of the Bogside before continuing to the mythical stepping stones of the Giant's Causeway. A visit to the haunt of Finn McCool will help to conserve this iconic natural landmark. The final stop today is in Belfast. Enjoy an orientation, followed by free time to explore the capital city's sights. (B)

Belfast, Dublin
This morning meet a Local Specialist to hear about the history of Belfast and learn of its progress and current prosperity. See the murals in different locations indicating the political sentiments of local residents. Later visit the Titanic Experience and trace the journey of the ill-fated luxury liner that met its end in the frozen waters of the Atlantic over a century ago. Heading south to Dublin later, see St. Patrick's Cathedral and other iconic sights in the company of a Local Specialist. (B)

Dublin
Today visit the world famous Guinness Storehouse. Embark on a self-guided tour, finishing at the Gravity Bar and sip on a pint of the black stuff while overlooking Dublin. Amble along Grafton Street with its colourful performers and perhaps a bit of local shopping, head to Temple Bar or stroll through St. Stephen's Green. (B)

Ferry to Chester, Liverpool
Cross the Irish Sea to Wales and continue to the ancient town of Chester. An orientation tour will pass by its Roman walls and famous half-timbered Tudor Rows. Later, head to the haunt of the 'Fab Four', edgy Liverpool. (B)

Glasgow
The runaway wedding capital, Gretna Green is our first stop today. Tread in the footsteps of eloping couples who would take their vows over the Marriage Anvil. Continue to Glasgow for an orientation tour including views of the Cathedral and magnificent George Square, lined with statues of Great Britain's most celebrated sons. Visit the Falkirk Wheel and learn about the legacy of Scotland’s canals and experience the world’s only rotating boat lift. (B)

Over the Sea to Skye
Journey past the site of the tragic 1692 massacre at Glencoe, known as the 'Glen of the Weeping' and see Britain's highest mountain – Ben Nevis. View the 13th-century Eilean Donan Castle, where three lochs meet, before visiting the Isle of Skye. (B)

Thurso
Travel North to soak up the seafaring heritage of Ullapool, a fishing town on Loch Broom and home to Thomas Telford's famous herring port. Orkney Islands
See the village of John o' Groats before catching the ferry to cross the Pentland Firth and arrive at South Ronaldsay, one of the Orkney Islands. The legend of Orkney's mythical Selkies, which shift their aquatic form on land to walk as humans, is revealed in the novel Outlander. Roam these mystical islands bound for the remains of the Neothilic Skara Brae village, which was lost for millennia. Wander freely amongst the standing stones of the Ring of Brodgar before the ferry ride back to the mainland. (B,D)

Tour Changes
We endeavor to provide an accurate itinerary however, local operators, hotels and airlines sometimes change arrangements and our itinerary would then be adjusted to suit however, the same standard will always be used.
Not Included on tour
Travel insurance; tips / gratuities for tour guides and drivers and any independent touring and dining (they are included for hotels and included group meals); items of a personal nature eg drinks, laundry, phone calls, meals other than those indicated, additional sightseeing or optional tours; extensions/stopovers/amendments; additional flight cost from other cities if applicable, arrival and departure transfers at destination/s when not arriving/departing on group flights/dates.
Reservations
A deposit of $400 per person is required within 7 days of confirmation of your booking. the final balance due no later than 29 January 2025. If a booking is made after this date, the full tour price is due at the time of confirmation. Prices are subject to change at anytime until full payment has been received for entire group and tickets have been issued.
Booking Forms and Booking Conditions
You are required to complete some forms when booking which provide essential information we require to process your booking. Your consultant will provide you with all relevant forms.
Passport & Visas
It is necessary for all passengers to be in possession of a valid passport which has at least 6 months validity beyond your return into Australia. Visas are not required for Australian passport holders.
Minimum Numbers
Group fares quoted for this tour are subject to a minimum 15 paying and maximum 30 passengers travelling together. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserve the right to increase the tour price or cancel the tour should the numbers travelling not meet the required minimum.
Tour Escort
Escort travels when minimum numbers of 150 are reached.
Price Alterations
Tour prices specified are based on airfares, taxes and land arrangement tariffs applicable at the time of printing, therefore they may be subject to alteration with or without prior notice until final payment date, as per brochure final payment date (29 January 2025)
Extensions/stopovers
An amendment fee may apply for any changes to group flight arrangements. You may also need to pay any applicable additional taxes.
Amendments/changes
There may be fees charged per amendment by third party suppliers for any reservation changes after your booking is confirmed.
Twin share Room Match Policy
In the event of a cancellation for a twin share room match, the travelling passenger may be required to pay for a single room supplement cost, which will not be covered under their travel insurance policy. Similarly, if a traveler decides whilst travelling that they do not want to share any longer, they will be required to pay the full costs for a single room.
Refunds/Credits
No refund is available in respect of any sightseeing tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised or required during this tour. No refund is available for cancellations after the tour has commenced.
Cancellations
Cancellations of firm bookings will be subject to $400 per person service fee plus any charges imposed by principals involved in operating the tour. Therefore, the cancellation fee may be up to the total cost for land and/or airfares. Cancelled bookings are non-transferable.
Baggage
Please refer to individual airline tickets for the baggage allowance for your flights. Airlines may charge you for baggage in excess of these allowances, which will be at passenger’s expense. Whilst on tour one main bag and 1 piece of hand luggage per person is allowed.
Medical Advice
It is wise to seek medical advice before travelling from travel specialist doctor, or from your own GP. Travellers must meet Phil Hoffmann Travel ’Statement of Fitness’ standards to participate.
Insurance
Insurance is compulsory for cover against loss of deposit and loss of airfares, personal accident, medical cover etc. If you have an ongoing medical condition you may be required to complete a pre-existing medical form. If you are over 70 years of age, you are required to complete a seniors medical form. Your consultant will provide all details.
Children
Participants must be over the age of 15.
Responsibility
Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary or change of reservation, features and/or means of conveyance without any notice and for any reason whatsoever. Phil Hoffmann Travel does not accept liability for failure on the part of transportation companies, hotel contractors and other principals whose responsibility is confined to their own operations. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to alter hotels used should the necessity arise. The transportation companies or firms shall be exempt from all liabilities in respect of any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness or injury and by whom so ever caused and whatever kind occurring of or to the passenger at any time when the passenger is not on board a conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies or firms.
We reserve the right to take any reasonable action should your health, actions or behaviour impinge on the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other passengers. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserve the right to cancel or withdraw any person as a member of the tour at any time.
All ticket coupons and orders are furnished and issued subject in all respects to those terms and conditions under which the means of transportation or other services provided thereby are offered or supplied by the owners, operators, public carriers, management agents or agents.
