The island of Molokai offers simplicity and a relaxed country-town feel. A peaceful island with no traffic lights, high-rise buildings or shopping malls.
Molokai is Hawaii of the past with unspoiled countryside, untouched beaches and a wild, untamed beauty. At only 61 kilometres long and 16 kilometres wide, it’s home to the highest cliffs in the world and Hawaii’s longest continuous fringing reef making it a haven for snorkellers.
Visit Kalaupapa National Historical Park and ride a mule along the picturesque 4.6 kilometre long cliff-top trail to Kalaupapa Peninsula where you will be rewarded with magnificent views along the coast and out to sea. Visit the historic town at the bottom of the trail, once an isolated leper colony where sufferers of the disease were forced to live in exile between 1866 and 1969.
