Explore the picturesque island of Funen with its rolling green hills – Denmark’s second largest island and birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. Resembling a castle right out of the pages of a storybook is the spectacular Egeskov Castle; with beautiful surrounding gardens and a play forest where hours can be spent walking in the treetops or wandering the grounds.
Get back to nature with windswept beaches, dramatic coastline, heathlands, dunes and sleepy coastal villages on West Jutland. Only an hour out of Copenhagen, you will find South Zealand, home to Stevns Klint. Great for hiking, weave through woodlands on cliff-top trails with stunning views out to the ocean or explore it from below on a kayak; the striking white cliffs formed 65 million years ago, revealing fascinating fossil records.
