It's been a long time between ship visits but cruising is back and we couldn't be more thrilled to see ships arriving back into South Australia's ports again.

In the past week alone we've seen Oceania's Regatta, Cunard's Queen Elizabeth, Holland America Line's Noordam, and Royal Caribbean International's Ovation of the Seas arrive into Port Adelaide's Outer Harbor.

The 2022/23 cruise season kicked off with the arrival of P&O's Pacific Explorer on October 31st - the first cruise chip arrival into Adelaide in two years following the pandemic.

Arrivals into South Australia will continue up until April 8th 2023 when the last ship for the season, Princess Cruises Coral Princess, will arrive in port at 5.30am and depart later that day. Other popular cruise ports in South Australia this cruise season include Port Lincoln and Pennneshaw on Kangaroo Island.

This season will see mega cruise liner, Ovation of the Seas, the world’s fourth largest cruise ship, call into Adelaide twice - returning again on March 6th. There will also be a welcome return of Cunard's Queen Mary II on March 17th and Queen Elizabeth will return on February 6th and March 1st.

Penneshaw will see 23 port calls between now and the end of the season while Port Lincoln will see another nine ship visits before the season concludes.

If you're interested in cruise ships and would like to catch a glimpse of these floating resorts as they sail into Outer Harbor, the best vantage points in Adelaide are from Semaphore and Lady Ruthven Reserve.
