Sitting adjacent to Villa Carlotta’s famed gardens, Grand Hotel Tremezzo is an authentic Art Nouveau palace that offers a warm inviting welcome and the delights of a true 5-star property. Enea Gandola and his wife Maria Orsolini returned to Italy after travelling widely around Europe in the early 1900s. They wanted to create a place of class and sophistication on one of the world’s most beautiful and popular lakes. And so, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo was brought to life, opening to much fanfare and celebration on 10 July 1910. The hotel was bought by a new family in the 1930s and today, is owned by a different family who have maintained the meticulous and traditional Italian hospitality for which the hotel is known and loved.
