Today marks an exciting milestone for Adelaide as we warmly welcome back Emirates, one of the world’s premier airlines! With the reintroduction of direct daily flights connecting Dubai and Adelaide aboard the state-of-the-art Boeing 777-200LR, this connection opens up a world of possibilities!
A Boost to Tourism and Economy
This reintroduction is projected to generate a staggering $62 million in annual tourism expenditure, translating to a vibrant influx of visitors eager to experience the unique offerings of our beautiful state. From the stunning wineries of the Barossa Valley to the breathtaking coastline of the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia has so much to offer, and now, more travellers can immerse themselves in these experiences.
This initiative is set to nurture over 315 full-time equivalent tourism-related jobs within South Australia. This job creation is vital for the local economy, providing opportunities for growth in hospitality, retail, and service sectors.
Elevating International Connectivity
Emirates’ triumphant return is set to elevate Adelaide’s international connectivity, making it the destination of choice for an even broader range of global passengers. With the addition of Emirates, the city will now host connections from ten major airlines, further solidifying its position on the world travel map.
